Artist Nozomi Yanahara, 30, draws a popular comic strip about a
childsize robot named Maruichi, published bi-monthly by Hakusensha.
She created this manga for TIME.
著者柳原望、白泉社の隔月誌に子供サイズのロボット"まるいち"が主人公の
漫画を掲載。今回TIMEのために新たに描き下ろした。
I should have bought a new car instead of this. The used car we
bought last year makes weird noises, and that's why my wife left me.
こんなのじゃなくて新しい車を買いに行かなくちゃいけない。
去年買った中古の車は壊れる寸前だし、おかげで奥さんは家出中。
It's been three days since my wife and daughter walked out.
奥さんと娘が家出して3日になる。
Wow! Suzu's clothes would fit it perfectly.

"Maruichi copies human behavior. Please show the robot what you
want it to do."
『まるいちは、持主の動きをコピーします。手本をロボットに見せて
ください。』
Which means I'll have to clean up the room myself if I want
Maruichi to do so.
ってことはつまり、こいつに部屋の掃除をさせたきゃまず自分で
やらなきゃダメって事か。

『お湯をカップに注ぎ70〜80℃になるまで冷まします』
Put tea leaves into the pot, and pour in the cup of hot water....

お茶を入れてたんだよ。プロ並なんだぜ。

もー信じらんない! とっても高いんでしょコレ! 車はどうするのよ?

いーえ、あなたがいつもだらしないからでしょ。

Daddy, robot-san stopped moving.
お父さん、ロボットさん止まっちゃったよ。

Only three years old, she already knows how to enter and delete
commands. Now Maruichi's speciality is...building blocks.
まだ3歳のすずは命令の登録・削除の方法を憶えてしまったのだ。
目下のまるいちの得意技は...積み木だ。

出かける前にお茶でも飲まないか?

Our daughter even delete the tea making command I entered.
すずは僕の登録したお茶の入れ方も消しちゃったらしい。
